Care Instructions
Your temporary crown protects your prepared tooth while your permanent crown is being made.
Avoid hard, sticky, or chewy foods that could dislodge the temporary.
Chew on the opposite side when possible.
Oral Hygiene
Brush normally, but be gentle around the temporary crown.
When flossing, pull the floss out to the side rather than up and down to avoid dislodging the temporary.
Sensitivity
Some sensitivity to hot or cold is normal while wearing a temporary.
This should resolve once your permanent crown is placed.
If Temporary Comes Off
If the temporary crown comes off, save it and contact our office immediately.
We can recement it to protect your prepared tooth.
Do not leave the temporary off for an extended period.
Follow-up
Return for your scheduled appointment to receive your permanent crown.
The temporary is not meant to be a long-term solution.
